Delta-Popp Ltd. has been present on the used car market since 1991. The company was founded as a Belgian-Hungarian joint venture. Founding members were Zoltán Pál Popp, the current owner, on the one hand, and Alain Broquet, owner of an automotive company Delta S.p.r.l., in Brussels, on the other. Both had 50-50% ownership of the company.

In the first four financial years, the Hungarian owner invested his share of the generated profit entirely in the company. The capital accumulated in this way was used in the fifth year by him, increased by the income from its other businesses, to purchase the foreign partner's shareholding. Since then, the ltd. became 100% Hungarian property.

In the second half of the 1990s, the company's extensive development direction was following the widespread emporium approach. Several hectares of commercial properties for service providers have been purchased or leased in the frequented part of Budapest, at the “Éles sarok”. The properties were publicized, and a used car dealership was built on them.

32 independent car trade companies from different parts of Budapest moved their company headquarters here and became a tenant of Delta-Popp Ltd. Throughout this the scope of the company's activities was expanded with a new activity, which created a new source of revenue and, last but not least, an intensive development opportunity. Not only has a simple landlord-tenant relationship been established between Delta-Popp Ltd. and the leasing companies, but the landlord was also providing other services in return for the lessor's remuneration, such as credit administration, preparation of vehicles for sale, etc. Every year, the group sells 5,000 to 6,000 vehicles. This means 5,000 - 6,000 customers who have had a direct business relationship with at least one of the Ltd.

Delta-Popp Ltd. has become the group with the largest sales volume in this branch in Hungary. Its registered capital is HUF 81,000,000, the annual turnover is between HUF 600,000,000 and HUF 900,000,000. Since the foundation of Delta-Popp Ltd., the company has been profitable in every year.
